Where it all began…
If you look at this photo, that’s me — Nora, founder of The First Gen Club.
At the time, I had no idea what I wanted to do in college. I just knew I had to go. Like many first-gen students, I believed hard work alone would be enough. I didn’t realize how much I’d have to figure out on my own.
As the oldest daughter of immigrants, I had no blueprint, no roadmap, and no one to guide me through the process. And after graduating, I realized something important:
Being first-gen doesn’t end with college.
It shows up everywhere — navigating your career, understanding money, building confidence, buying a home, networking, investing, and trying to access opportunities you were never taught about in the first place.
So many experiences weren’t built with first gens in mind.
That’s why I created The First Gen Club — a space built to provide the support, guidance, resources, and community we’ve always deserved.
A place where first gens can learn, grow, ask questions openly, and realize they’re not behind — they were just never given the same starting point.
You’re not meant to figure it all out alone anymore.

So what is the First Gen Club?
The First Gen Club is the community we always needed — and now it finally exists.
Being first-gen often means navigating college, careers, money, and adulthood without a roadmap. You’re expected to figure things out on your own, without always knowing what questions to ask, where to look, or who to turn to.
It’s not a lack of ambition.
It’s a lack of access, information, and support.
That’s where The First Gen Club comes in.
We bring together the resources, guidance, and community to help first-gens navigate what comes next — with more confidence and a little less guesswork.
Because being first-gen shouldn’t mean figuring everything out by yourself.
